Case Study – Lifting Split Air Conditioner units at Zamil Air conditioners , KSA

Zamil Air Conditioners, a sector business of Zamil Industrial, is the largest supplier of air conditioners in the Middle East. The company manufactures and markets a complete selection of air conditioners, ranging from room air conditioners to packaged units to large Chillers for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

They were looking for an ergonomic lifting solution to lift heavy split air conditioner units individually on to a pallet and vice versa. The main aim was to reduce the manpower and increasing the efficiency of the process and at the same time offering an ergonomic solution which will protect the wellbeing of their most asset, their employees. Also lifting individual split AC units using a forklift was literally impossible.

Solution:
Modern Eastern installed the TAWI vacuum lifter unit with a floor mounted jib crane with a customized suction foot suitable for all types of split AC cartons of different weights. A vacuum lifter is a safe and easy way of handling sensitive equipment like home and kitchen appliances in production area as well as logistics. Vacuum lifters offer flexibility, speed and safety of lifting which cannot be attained by traditional lifting methods like chain blocks, cranes, forklifts etc.
