Case Study – Bag Lifting Using Vacuum Lifter from TAWI

Imerys S.A. is a French multinational company which specialises in the production and processing of industrial minerals. It is headquartered in Paris and is a constituent of the CAC Mid 60 index. Imerys has operations in over 40 countries and over 16,000 employees. In Bahrain they operate as Imerys Al Zayani.
Imerys Al Zayani Bahrain factory was looking for a simple solution to stop manual handling and lifting of heavy bags in the production process. After an initial site visit and requirement study, Modern Eastern Bahrain offered the TAWI vacuum lifter suitable for bag lifting which would be mounted on a jib crane.

Solution:
Modern Eastern successfully installed and commissioned TAWI Vacuum Lifter specially designed for bag lifting. We installed the machine and successfully commissioned it. Once that was complete, Modern Eastern conducted a training session for the operators on efficient use of the vacuum lifter and also provided tips on preventive maintenance.
